Corrina Medway was a local country girl and young mother who tragically lost her life in May this year, shortly after giving
birth to her twin baby girls. She left behind her partner Ben, and her little "Angels", 16 month old son Jack,
and newborn twins, Emily and Grace.
A
fundraising group, the “Open Your Hearts Committee”, made up of Corrina's work colleagues from the Rural Industries
Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC), local Canberra business, Kowalski Recruitment, and friends and associates, has
recently been established to help raise funds to ease at least some of the financial burden of this tragedy on Corrina's
family.
The
Committee is planning a Gala Dinner on Valentine's Day, Tuesday, 14 February 2012.
In organising this event, the Committee has teamed up with the Heart Foundation, and we are grateful to Tony
Stubbs and his team for their generous support. Our goal is to raise funds to support Corrina's "Angels", and
to convey the message of heart health, specifically in young females. We also have an arrangement in place where we
are able to provide receipts for any donations received - every dollar raised goes directly to supporting the family,
and donors receives a full tax deduction for their cash donation.
As well as raising important funds to support Corrina's family, the "Open Your Hearts" Gala Dinner
is set to be a fantastic event - a unique way to spend Valentines Day, with a sumptuous meal, quality beverages, live music and dancing. A night not to be missed!
